“People Have Been Here” is Oleg’s debut collection of short stories written in the genres of satirical and social prose, mysticism, and fiction.
Oleg’s experiments cover fantasy, cyberpunk, mysticism, humor, and reportage. The collection contains 11 works that trace the overarching theme of what people and humanity as a whole are striving for (gold, or the pleasures that are bought with it, or simply living in peace with oneself and the environment).
Some of the topics raised by Oleg are the permissibility of violence, the contradictions of the First and Third Worlds and the social causes of war; growing up and reflections on the common man; betrayal and retribution for it.
The author describes the plots of the stories as follows: “Elves who courageously go to the goal, but meet a human tribe on their way. A city besieged by enemies in the early twenty-first century and a ghost girl who disappears somewhere in the distance outside the window.“
